20 Weeks! Halfway There!

How Far Along:  20 Weeks
Total Weight Gain: +9 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Oh yes!
Stretch Marks:  Not yet
Sleep:  Thats all I want to do :) Everything I read says I should have lots of energy right now- not true! Still sleeping by 7pm at night and I still go into zombie mode from 1-4pm every day!
Best Moment This Week: Getting to see our little one!!!!
Miss Anything: Energy
Movement: Feeling kicks daily now- still faint, but definitely kicks (or punches!)
Food Cravings:  Nothing specific, just hungry 24/7
Anything make you quesy or sick: BBQ and meat- most awful smell in the world!
Gender Predicition- I said this after the 13 week ultrasound and Im saying it again after these ultrasounds- everytime I see our little baby I just feel like its a boy
Labor Signs:  Nope!
Symptoms:  Extremely tired
Belly Button in or out: In
Wedding ring on or off:  On
Happy or Moody:  Happy!
Looking Forward to: Seeing the balloons come out of the box and getting to celebrate with all our family and friends!
Nursery Progress: I'm sure it will all be coming together after this upcoming weekend!

The baby is now the size of a banana!!! Thats just bananas! (hehe, sorry I couldnt help it).   It weighs 10.2 ounces and measures 10.5 inches -although Im willing to bet ours is much longer than average!

This week has been full of HUGE events for us!  We started looking for a new family truck on fathers day weekend-  but we only got disappointed after the deals didnt work out.  We had to have a crew cab pickup (quad cab is not safe for either the baby or the person the baby is behind- it forces you to be all the way up on the dash and too close to the air bag)- safety is our number one concern so this was ruled out immediately by me, my husband, and my father (who was our car guru through all this). We also needed a truck with low miles and we wanted a 4 wheel drive.  We quickly learned that we couldn't have all of that and stay within our (tight) budget- so the only reasonable thing to give  up was 4 wheel drive.  And  Monday we came across the PERFECT truck-   it was a Nissan Titan (and i just love Nissan)-  crew cab-  HUGE inside- we had test drove a Ram and a Silverado as well, and this was MUCH bigger inside than either of those!  It had low mileage and it was pretty.  We both fell in love with it instantly.   And yes, it is red, the color I swore I would never buy- but I don't even care- its perfect for our family and it will keep the baby safe and that is so much more important than a silly color.   So for all the people who want to get under my skin and make an OU reference- please be warned- I am pregnant and hormonal and can snap at any second- and any ou comment you make will not make me regret our decision or love our truck any less, because it is our family truck and it is beautiful, safe, and perfect for us. Red is a color, a universal color, not just an ou color.  So please let us be happy and love our truck and keep those comments in your head. Sorry for the rant- if you cant tell I've already gotten quite a few uncalled for remarks on the color :)

So Monday was a great day and it was followed by an even greater Tuesday!  We got to see our baby on the 2D/3D ultrasound! It had been 7 long weeks since we were able to see our little one and we were both so excited!  It was the gender ultrasound- and no we didn't peek!  We went to Stork Vision for it- we would highly recommend that place to anyone! Everyone was so nice and the room was so big so that it could accommodate any family members and we got to watch our little one on a big screen. It was sooo stinkin cute- the whole time it was just moving its mouth and stretching its (very long) legs out, and it would play with its toes and feet, and suck on its fingers.  It was constantly kicking and punching- the ultrasound tech kept asking if I could feel it, but I still cant yet... I can already tell it has so much personality- we are so in love! I cannot wait to meet our baby!  We were sent home with 8 pictures, a CD full of color pictures, and a DVD of the whole thing!

Wednesday Brians mom had surgery so we went to visit them at the hospital.
And this was one of the very first "real" kicks I felt.  It wasnt a flutter and wasnt a maybe...it was a kick! I was soooo excited!

Friday we had our 2nd ultrasound of the week- this was the medical one you do halfway through.  They looked at the babys bones, heart, blood, brain, spine, everything!  It was so cool to watch as she explained what everything was and how you can just see all that!  Once again our baby was active and then just fell asleep- there was no waking it up!  It has a big head, looonnggg legs, and big feet....it weighs 15 oz and is measuring about a week ahead. I wish I could just see the baby like that every day- its the best!  We had our monthly dr appt after the ultrasound and we were told the baby is perfectly healthy! whoo hoo!!! Thank you Lord!  What a miracle :)

Only a few days left until we know if "it" is a boy or girl........

We are 19 weeks along! The baby is now the size of a mango, is 10 inches long and weighs 8.5 oz!

It was a great week! I was very tired all week long, but still in a happy mood :)  I had been a little stressed out for the past week to week and a half or so-  ever since we bought our heart doppler it has worked GREAT!  Almost every time we were able to find the heart beat and it would be strong and steady.  There had been times when we couldn't find it for a day or two, but it never went longer than that.  But for a little over a week now we had not been able to find anything at all.   I had started to worry and with all the other complications we have had in this journey it just made me worry that much more.  So on Wednesday I decided to go ahead and call the doctor to see if I could come in just to get the reassurance that they could find the heart beat and that everything was okay.  My doctors office rocks, and they didn't hesitate at all to have me come in.  They were able to find the heartbeat (it was 146, good and strong)  and they made me feel so at ease-  they didnt make me feel silly for worrying and told me they are there for that anytime.  It was so nice to have that worry relieved and to be able to hear our little one in there after so long!

In some other good news, our Oklahoma City Thunder is in the playoffs!!!! Thunder Up :)  We are so excited- we have been going to my moms for dinner and the game, its become a fun little tradition.  The games arent starting until 8pm (thats just crazy to me), so I usually make it to halftime and then my body cant fight off the sleepiness any longer.  Its such an exciting time for OKC!

It was fathers day weekend- Brians first Fathers Day :)  I was sooo excited to give him his gift-  we went to dinner with my mom and celebrated just how amazing of a dad he is going to be.  I got him a Diaper Dude- its so cool, its a diaper bag for fathers so they don't have to carry around the moms girly bag.  I also got him the book Dude You're Gonna Be a Dad....

Because the baby can't go in Brians pickup truck, part of his Fathers Day Weekend was to go truck shopping!  So we woke up EARLY Saturday morning and went to dads house and he took all morning to teach Brian how to detail a truck- they worked so hard!  After hours of work, the truck looked like new- they did sooo good!!

We also drove up to Cushing to see Brians dad-  we gave both of our dads the Grandpa 2012 shirt to wear to the reveal party so they would stand out and feel special. Even though Brians parents will not be at the party, they said they will both be wearing the shirts that day! :)

Brian's nephew wanted to play in the water so Brian got out there and played with him.  He is going to be the best dad ever- I love how active and hands on he is with kids and how he will get out there and play and love on them.  We both strongly believe in always playing WITH our kids -It made my heart so happy and proud to see him playing out there! As if I wasn't already convinced he will be the best dad in the world- seeing them play made me sooo excited to have one of our own!

Me and Brian and my mom made the balloon box this week- we tried to find a big box from a warehouse, but that turned out to be so much harder than it sounds.  So we ended up getting one from Uhaul and then got some brown wrapping paper from Target and decorated the box.  It was really easy and so fun for us to do together!!

Dear Daddy to Be,

I am so proud to have you as a husband and feel so blessed that our child will have you as a father.  You are so kind, compassionate, loving, attentive, caring, thoughtful, and giving- all the qualities I love so much about you is what is going to make you the best daddy in the world.  If we have a girl I can't wait for her to be a daddys girl and if we have a boy, I will be the proudest mother in the world if he turns out just like you.  Thank you for taking the time to always think of others,to go out of your way to make people feel loved, and for loving life and making the most of every moment God blesses us with. I love you more than words could ever say!

Love,
Your Wifey

Belly Button in or out: In
Wedding ring on or off:  On
Happy or Moody:  Happy!
Looking Forward to: The ultrasounds next week and the gender reveal party!
Nursery Progress: Its on hold until we found out if its a he or a she!

The baby is now the size of a sweet potato- about  5.5 inches long and 6.7 oz!  It is now yawning, hiccuping, sucking, and swallowing.  I have felt so many flutters this week- seems constant when I lay down at night, and Ive felt a few little teeny kicks, but nothing really definite yet.  Maybe this next week I'll get some good kicks in there :)

We had a great week- thank goodness after last weeks emotional breakdown I went through!  We got our plumbing fixed and found an excellent plumbing company- Hi-Tech Plumbing- we would refer them to anyone! So nice and professional and quick-  apparently those random Oklahoma earthquakes broke our pipe in two!  We found a contractor to fix our roof, siding, and fence- whoo hooo!!  We went with Trademark Exteriors- we were so impressed by them and feel great about our decision.  They came highly recommended by 5 people and we can see why!

We got to get out and have some fun this weekend too-  we went on a double date with Brian's sister to a Redhawks game. The Thunder made it into the Finals so we went with my mom to Academy and fought the crowds to get us a tshirt :)  And we all went to see What to Expect When You are Expecting- it was such a good movie! I cried the ENTIRE movie (no exaggeration, just ask my husband)- half the time I was emotionally crying and the other half I was laughing so hard I was crying!

I have been having the worst time ever trying to sleep- so we finally bought me a good maternity pillow.  It had raving reviews on every website I went to and I instantly fell in love with it!  It goes all the way up and down on both sides and curves in all the right places for a pregnant woman's body.  This is a must have for any pregnant woman!

We are still working hard on getting ready for our gender reveal.  My mom is making almost all the decorations and the food- she's got quite the workload right now-  but everything is coming out so perfect!  We are going over to her house this week to make the balloon box.....less than 2 weeks to the party! Me and Brian couldn't be more excited for that day- we talk about it non stop, we both agree it will be one of the most memorable and special days of our life!

Food Cravings:  Apple pies!
Anything make you quesy or sick:  Smells and sometimes brushing my teeth still does it
Gender Predicition- I have no idea anymore...I'm just preparing myself for either way!
Labor Signs: Nope!

Belly Button in or out: In

Looking Forward to: The ultrasounds!!!!!
Nursery Progress: Organized a little more and got some more stuff moved out!

The baby is the size of an onion, weighs 5-6 oz and is about 5 inches long. It can now hear and react to sounds!

I felt my first (and only) kick this week! It was so amazing- I cant wait until I can feel it more and more often!  They say it should be any time now.....

I was so blessed by 2 co-workers who gave me some maternity clothes!  Now I have some tops and some more dresses- it couldn't have come at a better time!!!!

This week brought the stress! I have shed more tears than I have in a long long time. Tuesday night we got severe thunderstorms that had over 75mph winds and teacup size (about 4 in wide) hail.  We had my car in the garage and loaded up Brians pickup and stayed the night at my moms house so that we could get Brians truck in the garage and get it protected, and its a good thing we did!  That storm hit our house hard.  We lost all of our fence- all 3 sides have damage, the front of our house is damaged, and our roof is damaged.  We're learning all about how to file homeowners claims this week!

To add to all those expenses coming our way- our plumbing went out- again. Which means, the pipe is broken underground.  Once this happened, I just lost it.  Being pregnant and trying to save up money to pay for the baby bills and to buy stuff we have to have for the baby is stressful enough, but add on a complete new roof, complete new fence, complete new front of the house, and new pipes underground - and that was just too much for me to handle!  Luckily, I have an amazing husband who has a way of calming me down and getting me to believe that somehow someway we will make it through.  And I have wonderful parents who are there to support us and do whatever they can to help us out.  My dad came over the day the adjustor came and told us that they would do whatever they could for us- whether that meant brian and my dad had to dig the pipe up themselves and wade in poop to figure out for the first time ever how to fix it themselves- he was willing to devote all the time in the world to help.  And my mom took us in, gave up her master bedroom and master bathroom, gave up the control of the tv to my husband, and welcomed us to her home- for now it is our home too until the plumbing is fixed.  A pregnant woman cannot be without a running toilet for too long!

In the midst of what feels like everything is crumbling down around us- we are beyond blessed to have the unconditional love of my parents.  Both my mom and my dad are incredibly busy people- but no matter how busy they are, they always make time for us- and they never make us feel rushed or feel like we are inconveniencing them.   They are there for us for whatever we need, as long as we need it.  Not only are they there, but they have smiles on their faces the whole time and are so positive.  We are the most important thing on their to do list- no matter whats on the list that day or how important it may be- there is absolutely nothing more important to them than making time for their kids and loving on us-  It just blows me away.

So, by now the adjustor has come,  the plumber has come- and now we are getting estimates from roofers and construction for the rest of the home- praying for a break sometime soon!

Sleeping has again become impossible.  Now my poor hip is in excruciating pain when I lay on my side.  I can sleep for about 2 hours, then I wake up in tears the pain is so unbearable. I have to get up and walk around or sit up for an hour or so before I can even try to put weight on my hip again. I googled it and this seems like a common problem...but haven't found any solutions for it yet other than putting a pillow between your legs- which I already do :(.  We were saving up to be able to buy me the maternity pillow I wanted, but now with the house problems....doesn't look like thats going to be happening any time soon...

We did get to have some fun this week though!  We went garage sale-ing with my mom on Saturday and we did amazing! We had a BLAST!!!!  For $30 we were able to get:
*Baby OSU Cowboy Boots
*Baby OSU Rain Boots
*4 Baby Books
*Baby Einsten DVD
*5 Baby Lullaby CD's
*Pregnancy Workout DVD
*Pregnancy Book
*Parenting Book
*Orange Polo for Brian
*Grey Shirt for Brian
*BRAND new NFL Jersey w/ the tags on it for Brian
*Fishing Lures
*Game
*OSU Hat

While we were garage sale-ing I had someone ask me for the first time when I was due! I was sooo excited because that was the first time someone could tell I was pregnant!!!! :)

My mom got me some maternity tights (which I wanted so so so bad!) and she also found one of the CUTEST pregnancy gifts ever! Its a tape measure to measure your belly week by week and to record milestones in the pregnancy- I absolutely LOVE it!

It was also Brians mom's 60th Birthday on Saturday- we got her a Grandma 2012 shirt to wear to the gender reveal party  and Brian wrote out 60 Memories and Reasons why shes the best mom- it was really sweet.

We also got my mom a Grandma shirt- the idea was that they would wear them to the gender reveal party  to be special- but Brians parents are not going to be able to come, so our surprise plan didn't work- but at least my mom will be rockin the shirt that day!

The Reveal Party Planning is coming along!  My mom is putting so much heart and love into it- shes making most of the decorations and surprises we have planned for family.  Plan A didnt work out since Brians family will not make it, but we made some minor adjustments and came up with Plan B- it will still be fun and we can still pull off most of the things with just my family! A little over 2 more weeks and we will know!!!!!

Nursery Progress: Getting ideas for both girl and boy for how we want to decorate

The baby is the size of an avacado-the baby is starting to be able to hear our voices now (so cool!) and its forming taste buds, growing hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows!

This has been a really fun week for us- for the most part I was feeling really well so we were able to get some stuff done!  We had heard almost all parents either recommend reading Happiest Baby on the Block or Baby Wise (we have heard all the pros and cons you can imagine on each)- so we decided we wanted to read both books and make our own opinions.  We took a chance and went to half price books hoping they would have them there- and we got lucky!  We got the only copies of each one!  We also got 2 baby books- GoodNight Moon and Baby's First Bible Stories, plus we got daddy a DVD :)- and we got it all for under $20!!! I was so excited.  I have already started reading Happiest Baby on the Block and we will start to read the Baby Bible Stories to our little one this week :) I also broke down and loaded up on Palmers Lotion- I got the itchy skin spray, the stretch mark lotion, and the tummy cream.  My skin had become soooo dry and itchy it was painful- those lotions were great! My skin feels sooo much better now!!  And we had to make a run to Motherhood Maternity to get a sleeping bra- now that is a MUST for pregnancy- wish I would have been told to get that earlier! What a lifesaver!

We got to have dinner with our neighbors this week- they have a newborn little girl and it was so nice to be able to eat with them and talk and get advice from parents our age who have just gone through everything.  Their advice and experience they went through has been so helpful to us-  We just love living next to them!

It was Memorial Day weekend so we took full advantage of the extra day off and got a lot of house stuff done!  Our plumbing was messed up- try being pregnant and not being able to go to the bathroom at all! (IMPOSSIBLE!)  Thankfully we have wonderful neighbors who let me run over as I needed to and a wonderful mom who lets us stay over whenever we want!  Brian rented a Roto Rooter from Home Depot and my dad came over and those two men worked so hard and fixed (for now) the problem- so now we have plumbing again! Thank goodness!  Thats the good news, bad news is- we dont know if it is fixed or temporarily fixed-  we are anticipating that the pipe is broke, about 30 ft out- which will costs thousands of dollars to fix.  Not good timing for the budget!  Hopefully, thats not the case though! My dad is a superhero- there is nothing that man cant do or fix- and its been such a blessing to have him teach Brian as much as he can.  I love that my dad is patient and that he LOVES being around Brian and doing things with him and that he actually likes taking the time and really teaching Brian things.  As a daughter and wife, it makes my heart so happy to see those two men working together, laughing, and being family. I am just so lucky.

Before we got that fixed, my sweet mom- who already had my aunt and her dog staying at her house all weekend, insisted that we stay at her house (with Baby Girl)  and take her bed- while she slept on the couch.  That woman has the biggest heart ever- I cant wait for her to be a grandma!  Since my aunt was in town we had family stuff going on all weekend at my moms so we got to hang out over there alot- it was really nice! We even had a cookout and a Thunder Watch Party :)

I say it all the time, but I just cant say it enough- I hope and pray I am as good of a mom as my mom is.  I talked about Brian and my dads relationship earlier- but my mom and him have such a special one too.  He loves to take care of my mom and do anything we can to make things easier on her, and my mom- well she just adores Brian and has welcomed him not only to our family, but in her heart.  I feel like God is just showing off to me lately with my family- I've just been in awe of how lucky and blessed I am. We talk alot about the type of parents we want to be- and I feel like I've had amazing examples from Oma and Opa to my parents- we want to be active and involved and loving and teaching and we want our kids to have a childhood full of memories- memories of playing and adventures and learning and just being loved unconditionally.  And we want to do it all TOGETHER- not just mom or not just dad, but as a family.  It's so fun to talk about and dream about, just cant wait until we get to hold our baby and start being parents!

We have the nursery cleaned out, but a lot of the stuff went straight to the garage or shed until we had time to go through it all, so Monday we tackled the garage!  We took about 4 garbage bags to goodwill and donated a lot of stuff- it looks much better out there now!  Slowly but surely our house is getting back in to order!  We were extremely blessed by my brother and sister in law- they gave us their old baby stuff they dont need anymore- and it will help us out tremendously! So now there is some actual baby items in our house :)  Cant wait till our little one is here!

We also got our invitations for the Baby Reveal done this weekend and will mail out sometime soon- they are sooooo cute! I just love them!  We're having to tweak some of our plans and surprises we had for the party, but I'm sure it will all work out- and we cannot wait to be with everyone and find out! I think I count down the days every day..haha! I just want to know what our baby is so I dont have to keep saying "it" :)

Pretty sure I felt my first movement this week too- When we woke up over at my moms, I felt a little flutter bubble and I think it was our little one!

I did so much cleaning and organizing over the weekend that my feet were killing me- i felt like there were knives just stabbing my feet all over- soo my wonderful husband- who HATES feet-gave me my first ever foot massage by him :) I was in heaven!  Thank you baby for showing me love all the time in all sorts of ways! I love you so much!

Anything make you quesy or sick: CAR RIDES!

Belly Button in or out: In
Wedding ring on or off:  On
Happy or Moody: Emotional and becoming moody at times :(
Looking Forward to: The gender ultrasounds
Nursery Progress: Just waiting to know what color to fill it up with :)

Our baby is now the size of a navel orange- weighing in at 2.5 oz and is 4 inches long. Even though I cant feel movement yet, I sure can feel the baby growing! My stomach and back are feeling all the effects of a growing uterus!  The baby can now move all the joints and limbs and is moving like crazy inside me.  It's heart is increasing in capacity- it can now pump 25 quarts of blood each day!  And the baby can make facial expressions now- I cant wait for our next ultrasound!

We got our home Heart Doppler this week!  We were so excited!!! It has worked GREAT- we can find our baby's heart beat every time and so quickly- so far our baby has been holding steady at 154bpm.  It never gets old hearing your baby in there :)  We just love it!

I went in for my monthly check up on Friday- I took my mom this time so Brian could save up some PTO time.  Everything went great- she got to hear the heartbeat and I got all good news! I had been cleared to do minimal activity- I could walk on a treadmill and maybe try some prenatal yoga, and do light hand weights under 5lbs. I got scheduled for my next ultrasound (i love getting ultrasounds!)-  its in about a month and they will be looking at all the organs to make sure they are developing right- the heart, lungs, brain, etc.

About noon that day I started noticing something wasn't right-  I brushed it off initially thinking it was probably just normal, but then by 3pm it had gotten much worse and by this time I knew something was wrong.  I called by doctor, but they closed at 230 on Fridays so I had just missed them.  My options at this point were to call the on call emergency doctor, go to the ER, or wait until Monday.  I really didn't want to do any of those- I didn't know how serious the problem was.  I ended up calling the on call doctor and good thing I did- She told me I needed to get to the Labor & Delivery as fast as possible to be monitored and tested.  The second she said the words Labor & Delivery- I lost it.  I started crying- I normally cry when I get scared and when you add on all the pregnancy hormones I have- now I cry that much more.  I was just so scared.  My boss called my husband to let him know- I was crying so hard I couldn't even talk- thankfully his work told him to leave right away and to go be with me.  Once I calmed down I called my mom as I was driving to let her know- I tried to stay as calm as possible so she wouldn't freak out.

We got to the hospital, got checked in, and got my little arm bracelet.  They labeled me as in for testing and observation- at this point we had no idea how long I would be here.  They took a urine sample to test and took us back into a room where the nurse explained how they were going to test everything .  They found the baby's heart beat- whew! that was a huge relief to me!  And then they did the test- They thought I was leaking amniotic fluid- which at 15 weeks is not good at all.  We waited and waited for the results to come back- and finally they did- it tested negative for amniotic fluid! Thank the Lord! That was one of the scariest moments I've had- I'm just so glad Brian was right beside me the whole time to calm me down.  This baby has just overcome so many odds- its a miracle- God is truly protecting it and caring for it.  So with that, they sent us home to rest and monitor the situation.  If it persisted or got worse we were supposed to call and come back in.

Sleeping is still so difficult and frustrating- I'm never comfortable, but I'm most comfortable on my back.  Which isn't how  I'm supposed to be sleeping.  Right now it takes 3 regular pillows and 2 body pillows for me to sleep- its like a fortress I have to build just to get somewhat comfortable.  I have a body size pillow on both sides of me- I try to use on to prop me up and make it more comfortable, but its not.  Being on my side at all gives me shooting pains to the point that I just cry out in pain.  I talked to my doctor about it, she recommended get a maternity pillow and said that its okay to sleep however is comfortable right now- even if that is on my back.  She said once I hit about 24 weeks we will have to figure something else out.... but for now it is just awful.

I felt like the last few weeks I was getting more energy and feeling better- but this week I feel like I'm right back in the first trimester.  I'm exhausted as soon as I wake up, I never feel good, I'm moody and miserable most of the day. I have absolutely no energy.  Don't get me wrong- I am so happy and excited and thankful to be pregnant and I love going on this journey with my husband...but I had no idea how hard it would be on me.  Work is the hardest, there are days I just don't know how I am going to make it through- whenever it seems impossible to make it to 5 o'clock I always just look at my screensaver-  our little one at 13 weeks just relaxing away-  it always make me feel better when I look at our baby- makes all of it absolutely worth it.  And I have such a good support system-  my mom has started driving to work more often that way I can just ride in the mornings when I'm not feeling good and she is always checking in on us to see if we need help with anything.  And my sweet sweet husband is just amazing. He is so patient with me and understanding. He can make me smile and make my heart smile even on the worst days.  I love getting to come home to him and just getting to lay on the couch cuddled up with him.

I'm so excited for whats coming up in the next month- I should start to feel flutters or movement, we have 2 more ultrasounds, and we will find out what we are having- we are so excited to have all our family together and our friends to find out what we are having!!!  Every day is so exciting and new- I just cant wait!

Our baby is now the size of a lemon!  It's moving like crazy and is now sucking its thumb and wiggling its fingers and toes.  The baby has doubled in weight since last week and is now about 3.4 inches long!

I still get really really tired in the afternoons, if I am at home I will fall asleep every afternoon and at work its such a struggle to fight off the tiredness.  Car rides are still making me super sick- we try to keep me out of the car as much as possible these days!  I still get the occasional "morning sickness" symptoms- although mine are always the worst in the afternoons, but it is slowly getting better! Sleeping is really difficult- if I lay on my side I get horrible pains in my stomach- if I lay on my back I get back cramps.  I know that sleeping is difficult during pregnancy, but I guess I didnt expect this this early!  I can tell the hormones are rising- I now cry at EVERYTHING!  Before I was pregnant, I had never cried at a movie.  This week we watched Joyful Noise and I was just balling my eyes out.  And on the way home from work I was listening to KLove when they called a mom to surprise her wtih a trip to Disney World for Mothers Day and I had tears just streaming down my face.  Its crazy!

I got to celebrate my very first Mothers Day this week! My sweet husband planned out a date for and got me a gift all on his own- absolutely no hints from me! I was so shocked and felt so blessed that he put the time and effort and thought into making it such a special day for me.  He took me out to eat and I got the most perfect 1st mothers day present!  It was a little journal that asks me all sorts of questions-  I write in my answers and then give it to our baby so that it can know all about me before it was born.  I absolutely love it- it is the PERFECT gift for me!

For our mom's we made a DVD of pictures and videos from the time we started dating up to Christmas of last year.  We spent so much time making these- I would say at least 20 hours- and they turned out great! Both our parents loved them!  We drove up to Cushing to see his family-  which is the longest I have had to be in a car- it was AWFUL! I wanted to cry I felt so sick and nauseous- but it was a really good day with his family- I ended up falling asleep (of course) and woke up just in time to get back in a car!   Sunday we went to my moms and had dinner with that side of the family.  It was a fun and busy weekend seeing all our families- but so worth it!

:) Made me giggle

I cant wait to be a mom just like my mom was and is.  She gave me the very best childhood- I have so many memories and she made all of them possible for me- she was so involved and would take me to see things and do things- I never just sat and watched tv or movies, we were always doing something! Thank you mom for everything you have done for me and everything you have sacrificed for me.  They dont make moms like you- you are one of a kind! Everyone who knows you tells me everytime they see me just how lucky I am to have you and how they wish they had a mom like you-  I know just how lucky I am and cant wait for our baby to know it too!

So, at week 14 the good days are starting to become more and more.  My husband has been a rock star- he has the cleaning and cooking down now- and takes care of me like a princess!  He has come a long ways- when we first started dating he had the mentality that days off were for doing nothing but being lazy, but now he is so pro active and a go getter and ready to live life and fill it full of memories! I cant thank him enough for serving me day and night and making every day of this journey so special- he is the absolute best man, best husband, and best daddy to be in the entire world!
