Gender Reveal Party!

BOY OR GIRL?????

WE'RE ABOUT TO SEE!!!!!

Sunday afternoon (in the 90+ degree heat) we had our gender reveal party with all our family and a huge group of our friends! We had over 50 people come out and celebrate with us- we are so blessed to be surrounded by and doing life with these amazing people!

My mom put on the party for us and got all the food prepared, handmade most of the decorations, and just poured her heart and all her time into making today one of the most special and memorable days for us!

As people arrived they voted for Team Girl or Team Boy...

And then they voted on a Name based on their team.  Our top 4 names for a Boy were: Braxton, Brayden, Bentley, and Briggs.  Braxton recieved the most votes while Briggs recieved none! For girls our top 4 were: Bridget, Blakely, Berkley, and Bailey.  Blakely and Berkley won by a landslide!

We also had a raffle drawing for anyone who brought a package of diapers or wipes. What a blessing these are to us to get us started!!!!

Once everyone had arrived we started off the party by playing a game called Daddy Up!  We got the daddy, the grandpa, the uncles, and a few more dads to make a total of 8  dads and had them do a funny competition.   The first round was called Drink Up!  They had to drink 4 oz of water from a baby bottle- the first 6 to complete the task moved on!

Round 2- Dress Up.  Each dad had a doll they had to put a diaper and a onsie on.

Round 3- Spit Up!  Whoever could spit the pacifier the farthest was crowned the Daddy Up Champion!

It was definitly fun to watch and provided some good entertainment!! :)

Up next we played the Old Wives Tale Game to predict what we were having.  Darci and Betsey came up and they read us the question and we would answer and then either put a sticker on the boy side or girl side- as you can see the score was 12-4 in favor of boy......

And now it was time for the big moment!!!! Time to open the box that would tell us if we were having a son or daughter.  We were both so excited at this point! And here is what we saw...

IT'S A BOY!!!!

HUGE thank you to my mom, Grandma Millie, for putting all this on!  We appreciate all the thought, love,and time you put into this day to make it so special for  us.  This will always be one of the most memorable days of our life! We love you so much!
